I ordered the 5 lb. bag of Dead Sea Salts unscented. After soaking my skin was so soft.
The salt is 100% Dead Sea Salt, imported from Israel. The use of sea water has been around since Biblical times.

What are the minerals in Dead Sea salt and what do they do?
There is a reason why salt from the Dead Sea is much more expensive than regular sea salt from any other sea or ocean in the world. The reason is the very high concentration of mineral present in the salt. While regular sea salt is about 90% Sodium (which accounts for it's salty taste), salt extracted from the waters of the Dead Sea is only about 10% Sodium with the other 90% accounting for other minerals which are essential for proper skin function, but which are present in very small quantities in regular sea salt. So what are these minerals exactly and what do they do? Many of the twenty one minerals are present in trace form, however the six minerals listed below are prevent in much larger concentration. Below we go over what each mineral's general biological function is:Magnesium Chloride: Stimulates protein synthesis. This allows for quicker natural regeneration of healthy skin tissue. Essential for skin cell metabolism, this also provides some anti-allergic and anti-inflamatory benefits. Also vital in helping the cells process other nutrients and vitamins.
Potassium Chloride: Assists the cells in expelling waste and toxins. Potassium is also a major factor in regulating muscle function and the nervous system. Allows the skin to properly maintain an optimal moisture balance to reduce over drying or overoilyness. Signs of potassium deficiency include abnormally dry, patchy skin as well as the the opposite extreme - oily skin and acne.
Sulfur: Sulfur is an essential mineral for enabling cells to breathe oxygen as well as convert toxins into non toxic particles. The presence of sulfur is vital to the synthesis of collagen - an important compound for skin health.
Sodium Chloride: Sodium plays a detoxifying role, allowing cells to expel toxins by converting them into waste. Also essential for the absorption of other nutrients.
Bromide: Has natural anti-biotic properties and helps with the rebuilding of cell in the body.
Zinc: Facilitates skin renewal and stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis. Has some anti-inflamatory and natural uv ray blocker properties.
Calcium: Plays an important roll in cell protection as well as cell membrane permeability, thereby allowing for better absorption of nutrients.
More about the Dead Sea:
Located in between Israel and Jordan, and split almost evenly between the two neighboring countries, The Dead Sea is considered one of nature's miracles. It was formed around 3 million years ago and has been a legendary body of water since ancient times. In fact Aristotle, the great Greek philosopher and historian wrote about the sea and the famous Egyptian Queen Cleopatra had cosmetics factories built on the shores of the magical sea to harness it's salt, mud and minerals in the production of soap and much the same as is done today. The sea is mentioned many times in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible and most major religious texts.

The Dead Sea, located at the lowest point on Earth, is one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world. Compared to regular sea or ocean salt which contains only about 3% salt vs water, the Dead Sea contains 33% mineral salt. In fact this level of salinity creates one of the most amazing effects that visitors marvel at when they make a trip to the sea - a person swimming in the sea can not sink! Yes, when you go into the waters of the sea, you actually float as if you were on an air mattress, but naturally. Today many people who are seeking treatment for skin conditions such as Psoriasis, Eczema and other diseases take a medical tourism trip to the sea and get relief from soaking in the mineral salts waters of the sea as well as lathering themselves with Dead Sea mud.
